- The addition of Jay Bouwmeester (replacing Duncan Keith) to Team Canada over Mark Giordano and Subban is perplexing at best…

People don't get it. Get over whole Subban being looked over. It's really getting old. Yes he's a really good hockey player.

Team Canada works on left shot / right shot basis for a balanced lineup.
Keith - left shot. Subban - right shot. Subban is not replacing Keith.
The fact that Petro is already playing makes the selection of Bouwmeester easy as they play together and will be paired at the World Cup.

What about Giordano? I realize he doesn't play for the Blues, but still....Bouwmeester????

Sure you can argue that Gio would have been a better selection.

The point is the amount of whining about Subban not getting selected is getting old. Hockey Canada and it's coaching staff have made it clear the want for a balanced defense. So when Keith goes down don't cry about Subban not getting selected.

Think Subban was either 1st or 2nd in most turnovers. Prob had something to do w the choice.

Paul's wasn't a Subban whine. Just a statement that questioned the omission of 2 better players that Subban happened to be a part of.

That's also the primary reason why Muzzin was selected: his familiarity playing with Doughty. Team Canada is banking heavily on chemistry. Thus, what they're doing shouldn't be "perplexing," though that doesn't mean that one must agree with it.
